The ghosts of Borley

by Karen Fowler

Do the ghost of Borley realy exist, or was it all made up for people to believe that Borley Rectory was haunted?

There were many ghosts of Borley Rectory. Have they gone, or are they still there? Does the nun still walk on Nun's Walk, waiting for her lover to return? She hasn't found the peace that she wanted. She cries alone and walks with sorrow, with her white glow light and with her long hair.

I bet loads of people on the 28th of July went to Nun's Walk to see if they could see the famous nun. I guess many people who did visit didn't see a thing.

Must I remind you when you do visit Borley, have respect. [The former Nun's Walk is on private property.] All these people who come to look - they play the planchet - very wrong to do. Never mess with EVIL.

I plan to visit Borley again very shortly, just to think and have peace and quiet. Maybe on my visit I might see something paranormal- who knows - but only with an open mind. I dont go there to stare and gorp. It's a normal place and I have respect for the residents who live there.

Thousands of people have come from all over the world to visit Borley just to see if they could see anything paranormal, taking photos and making out to believe they have seen or heard things inside the grounds of Borley Rectory and the Church yard.

Some people are very sceptical of these things that go on in this life. We all see and hear things in our times with an open mind, and we only see what we believe in. The paranormal world where spirits are lost and sometimes they leave there soul behind. Ghosts are more frightend of us than we are of them.

Like the flying brick at Borley Rectory, nobody knows exactly what did happen. It may have been caught on camera or was it a worker. One should ask themselves was Harry Price a hoax or was he genuine. He knew exactly what to write in his books.

The Bull family, and the Foyster family, maybe they did have some sort of paranormal going ons. And the nun too, does she haunt nuns walk or was that just a hoax?

I myself, when I have visited Borley, thought, "Am I going to see something?" But you can't compress yourself to expect things to happen just out of the blue.

The people who live in Foxearth get many sightseers asking for directions to Borley Rectory. Some people ask what really went on inside the Rectory, wild parties? I don't think so.

I do not know much about Marianne's husband, and the Bull family who lived there. Was Mr Bull very strict? One does not know about the privacy of Mr Bull.

To the people who visit Foxearth - this place is to be remembered and not for Gorpers who just sit and stare.
