Alexander MacDonald visit - 7 April 2003

More photos from Borley

Regards,
Alexander MacDonald

Approaching Borley Village. This picture shows approach to Borley from the east (Rodbridge Corner). Immediately on the left is the front lawn of the bungalow erected on the uppermost portion of the former rectory garden. Further up the hill on the left stands the stables cottage.

View of rectory site today. The concrete drive displays at intervals, evidence of subsidence from settling of rectory debris in cellar voids.
Please observe notice on gate.

Gateposts located at lower rectory garden. These two stone gateposts are positioned close to the road and would appear to have given access to the garden where it tapered to a point. Was it through this gateway that the misses Bull passed on 28 July 1900, following their garden party, and led them to their famous sighting of the nun?
Note: Private property, do not enter without the express permission of the owners.
