Bibliography

I have created an extensive, annotated bibliography related to the Borley phenomena. It is my intention to catalogue as many world-wide references as possible, including books, magazines, newspapers, television programmes, and even heavy metal recordings based on Borley. Some of these titles are excellent resources for people studying the paranormal.

In light of the errors that continue to crop up that are at variance with the original record, a chart has been added detailing common mistakes. The original record of Harry Price is then compared. Readers are invited to contribute to this on-going effort to clarify the legend.

Books

Lionel wrote an account of their stay at Borley, and Marianne wrote some notes. Neither account has ever been published. I have combined their stories in Fifteen Months in the Most Haunted House in England. Marianne's life in America was completely different than her life in England. I have written a book about her life, The Most Haunted Woman in England. I have also written a book about Borley. It contains much new information never printed before. The title is The Ghosts That Will Not Die. Another book concentrates on Marianne's philosophy. She wrote poems and clever sayings, which she was hoping to publish before her death. I have published this for her with clipart. It is available as, Things My Mother Tried to Teach Me. Her work has inspired me to write a similar book, Things I've Tried to Teach My Children.

From time to time, I write essays. Some are related to Borley, others are just general interest.

I tell my side of the story in "Son of Borley - the mysterious search for my identity." It chronicles how I came to discover all these secrets and describes my life. A short preview is posted here.

After my mother died, I wished desperately that she would contact me. I frantically searched out all the material I could find on life after death. The results of my search are posted here under the heading "Death, then what?" This includes my final chapter, The End, and some terms.

When I started my research into Borley in 1994, there were only three web sites that mentioned the haunting. Two of these sites were devoted to genealogy. The third was a review as part of a Dutch site. Since establishing my own web site in 1994, the number of mentions on the web has exploded. Additionally, there are literally hundreds of sites linking to this one.
