"We noticed nothing that is discernable in these photographs at the actual church so coming home and finding these images was quite surprising."
"I took one picture in 2003 which may be of intrest to you."
"Paul commented on how small the Waldergrave tomb appeared in the flesh. I, too was surprised to find the building smaller than I had remembered."

"I "see" a head with longish hair."
"There seems to be a face in the floor of the church porch."
"As I passed the Church, there was a man and woman standing near what I remember as a wall fronting the church."
"It is very disorientating and difficult to gauge the position the rectory would have taken had it still stood."
"Something tells me that either I have changed or Borley has and, therefore, perhaps it's best for me to remember the place as it was on this visit? This seems to have been a kind of closure for me. Perhaps a few ghosts - either mine or Borley's - have indeed been laid to rest." See also, "EEEEK...My Garden's Haunted!"
"The first one shows mist or smoke coming from the church window." Re: photo two, "Do you think it could be the nun?"
Colour, and black and white photos.
"As the light got brighter we noticed a picture of a naked man in a circle. . ."
"As we were talking a shout suddenly went up from one of the younger men (the one in the photo) who had spotted a coin only a couple of yards from our feet gleaming in the morning sunlight that streamed through the church windows. It lay to our left, in the centre of the red aisle carpet - a spot where neither of the Warrens had been and a spot which I can definitely vouch had been empty only moments before."
"It was on this return trip that I noticed all the car's warning lights (low oil, no petrol, overheating etc) flash on, and remain on until we had left Borley. . . As we touched the gates, to ascertain which period they were from, a bright white light appeared, not far from the gate, and progressed towards us, in an up and down motion."
". . . a strange smell came in to the air. . ."
". . . DISCOVERED THAT I HAD CAPTURED ON FILM, A DARK CLOAKED FIGURE WITH HOOD AND HANDS CLASPED, WALKING ALONG THE HEDGE LINE OF THE CHURCH."
"When we came to leave, our car - a fairly new model - wouldn't start until it was pushed 10 yards back onto the main highway."
"These objects were illuminated by a faint orange glow, no mistake about it, that was emanating from the door."
"A shot taken from the back of the church (from the tower end toward to opposite end of the building) shows quite clearly (to us anyway) a face "looking" over the top of one of the gravestones."
"I have never been so cold in my LIFE."
"I hadn't been there long when I heard a loud echoing knock which sounded as though it came from the other side of the doors which were above my head."
". . when we got it back and looked at the picture there is a figure of a young boy."
"When I tried to take a picture of the rectory site, the camera wouldn't work:"
"We all noticed how cold it seemed despite being a glorious summer day."
"I have video footage of a scream coming from the inside of the church one night."
"Suddenly I felt a tremendous rush towards me - as if, the only way I can describe it, something had thrown shear fear at me."
"I took quite a few pictures and was astonished to come across the original postern gateposts in the garden of one of the bungalows near the rectory site."
"I heard what sounded like a pen being dropped into the aisle."
"One of the men saw a figure of a nun. . ."
"It amazes me that the hauntings are still related as fact in spite of all the evidence to the contrary."
". . .she might be absoloutly right and the place is not haunted and it's all a myth. . . "
"The story goes that . . . the car lifted off the road and was set down in a field."
". . .a stone had just hit the ground in front of me."
"I'm laughing at all the conkers falling out of the trees. . . "
"As for the photographs, well the ones we took prior to our trip were perfect, the ones of ourselves and the group were fine, however none of those taken of the church or surrounding areas showed anything."
"I used my new Olympus Digital Camera and took many pictures on the night."
"I personally believe that the rain was responsible for these type of photo's."
"When I got my pictures developed, I was shocked to see that one of them had some bright red eyes staring out."
"A small twig, about the size of a chopstick was 'thrown' at us, hitting my wife."
"He then related that as we walked around the field he had heard the sound of horses approaching very quickly."
". . .we could not see a face inside the monk's hood. . ."
". . .a blotchy white mist moving away from our car in front of us down the road at quite a pace."
"Sir Simon even agreed with my view that the figure looked like a person kneeling at a grave."
". . .during a daytime visit when we heard a large number of dogs barking. . . "
". . .on the way home the car electrics started playing up. . . "
" Someone, although I can't see this at all, said there appears to be two hooded figures in the picture too..." |
